Linda Smallwood
Hi my name is Linda Smallwood. I am married with two sons aged 13 and 11 and live in North Wales.
After 18 years working for The National Health Service as a nurse, I then returned to University to do a post-graduate Diploma in counselling.
More recently, with family commitments and my children needing an increasing amount of help and support with schooling, I decided to work from home focusing my time on being a Mum and pursuing my interest in freelance writing. Actually, one of my first articles was as a result of needing to help my children with their homework. Having been an avid reader since childhood I have always been interested in many things ranging from childcare issues and adult health to cookery and growing vegetables. As a family we have numerous hobbies including keeping chickens in the back garden, mountain biking and learning instruments - 8 at the last count!
Whilst I am interested in so many things, writing has always been a passion. Initially, I am going to focus on topics that I am finding out more about for myself, such as Protecting yourself against identity theft and What is a living will?
Ultimately, I hope to make a difference to others as I write about what I love.
